Fees, Payments & Cancellations
At Balanced Perceptions Therapy & Consulting (BPTC), we aim to keep all information about session costs, payments, and attendance expectations clear and transparent. The following outlines our current fees, payment processes, and cancellation conditions for both in-person and telehealth sessions.

Payment & Bookings

Appointments are confirmed once payment has been received.

Payment can be made by card, BPAY, or direct deposit. Card and
BPAY payments may incur a small pass-through processing fee
charged by the payment provider and shown at checkout.

Cash payments are accepted in person by prior arrangement
only.

Cancellation & Rescheduling

More than 48 hours’ notice: your payment can be transferred
to a future appointment (credit) or refunded on request.

Less than 48 hours’ notice or non-attendance: the full session
fee applies.

Cancellations must be made via email.

Medicare Rebates & Private Health Insurance

BPTC supports eligible rebates to assist with access to care. Clients are responsible for being aware of their own rebate entitlements and usage.

For Medicare-rebated services, the full session fee is payable upfront. After the session, Medicare processes the rebate directly into your nominated bank account. Any applicable gap remains the client’s responsibility.

Mental Health Treatment Plan (MHTP)

Eligible clients can receive a rebate of $87.25 for up to 10 sessions per calendar year with a valid GP referral and review.

Chronic Condition Management Plan (CCMP)

Eligible clients can receive a Medicare rebate of $61.80 for up to 5 allied health sessions per calendar year with a valid GP referral. These sessions are shared across all allied health providers under the plan.

Private Health Insurance (Extras)

Some private health insurers may offer rebates under extras cover. Clients pay the full fee and claim directly from their insurer.

Court-related services, comprehensive assessments, and report writing are not eligible for Medicare rebates and are billed under separate fee structures.
